Tuesday's disjointed rambling
New Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels is off to an interesting start with the team with the leak that he was looking to trade wonderboy Jay Cultler to get a chance for his own wonderboy Matt Cassel. McDaniels couldn't pull the trade off and Cassel was eventually traded to Kansas City. Now, Cutler is crying foul and apparently is going to hold his breath until training camp.
Brandon Marshall is in trouble again, with another spat with his fiancee. Granted, Atlanta officials dropped charges against him, but Roger Goodwell is the high sheriff in town and Marshall could still be in trouble.
Mike Shanahan has to be sitting back in his year off with a *&#%-eating grin.

Three years ago, I didn't know what to think of the World Baseball Classic. By the end, I was on board, even if Team USA got its butt whipped. When you look at the big pictured, it is amazing the talent the other teams have, such as Japan, Korea, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico and Puerto Rico, to name a few. Heck, even Canada is pretty good. Of course, they have my wife's favorite player, Justin Morneau, on the team ("he's soooooo cute"). That's Teresa's quote, not mine. Regardless, it should be fun to watch.

This should be an interesting week for Wyoming basketball. Two main questions needed to be answered. Can the Cowboys close strong with win two at home against the "cream of the crop" as Heath Schroyer calls it, and challenge for a postseason berth? Also, can the Cowgirls continue their second-half improvement and play well down the stretch as they get ready for the MWC tournament? We shall see.

Congratulations to Tom Hudson and the Laramie Plainsmen swim team for winning the state meet last weekend in Gillette. I'm sure that Gillette fans will say that the Camels would have won it if not for two of their top swimmers suspended because of rules violations. They're probably right. The fact is the two Gillette swimmers violated the team and school code of conduct and the right thing was done by suspending them. When it came down to it, the Plainsmen still had to perform in the pool and they did just enough to bring the first place trophy back to Laramie.

When you spellcheck wonderboy, one of the words that comes up is wonderbra. Yeah, I know, I'm 12 years old.
